In a letter to Congress, 600 business owners and leaders sent a clear message:  let the Bush-era tax cuts on the highest incomes expire. The letter comes just as Congress reconvenes for the lame duck session where they will need to address the confluence of expiring income and payroll tax cuts and budget cuts, commonly referred to as the "fiscal cliff."  The revenue generated by ending this tax break will reverse the large and growing budget cuts that have had a severe impact on business, particularly micro and small business and job creation—reducing funding for infrastructure improvements, community economic development programs, housing, job training, and much more.
