Oppose the Regulatory Accountability Act
Regulations function as the guardrails that keep our market economy on the road. They define reasonable limits on behavior so that everyone can move along with a reasonable level of risk. Today, however, the very process of creating regulations is under direct attack by some in Congress at the demand of polluters and those who caused the financial crisis. The miss-named Regulatory Accountability Act allows these corporations to be unaccountable for their actions. This Act forces agencies to conduct unnecessary and highly speculative analyses to set effective rules that benefit us. Join other responsible businesses to tell the U.S. Senate to oppose the Regulatory Accountability Act.
