Protect Businesses from Financial Predators
After the 2008 financial crash, new rules and a new agency, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), were created to protect our economy. And they have. The rules have kept the predators from rigging the system against small business and consumers – and it was the CFPB that caught Wells Fargo’s fraudulent activities.
But now, Congress aims to strip the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau of its power and undo many of the rules it is enforcing. So the predators are making plans.
Your credibility as a business leader and investor is powerful. So right now, help us tell the new government that a stable marketplace depends on the CFPB doing its job. ASBC and the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) have come together to petition Congress on this crucial matter. Please join with us to keep 2008 from happening again!
