Gary Cohen is the co-founder of Health Care without Harm (HCWH), the international campaign for environmentally responsible health care, and is presently its President and Executive Director. HCWH has partners in 35 countries and also manages Practice Greenhealth, a membership organization in the US with 1,100 hospital members and 80 businesses. He is also the executive director of the Environmental Health Fund, which works on domestic chemical safety issues. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Sambhavna Clinic, which provides free health care to the survivors of the Union Carbide chemical disaster in Bhopal, India, and is a past co-chair of the Seva Foundation. Mr. Cohen was awarded the Skoll Global Award for Social Entrepreneurship in 2006 and the Frank Hatch Award for Enlightened Public Service Award in 2007.
