Help Support a CRA Challenge to Protect Net Neutrality

50 senators led by Ed Markey (D-MA) have come out in support of using the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to overrule the FCC’s decision to repeal the 2015 net neutrality rules. The CRA allows Congress to use an expedited legislative process to overrule new federal regulations, and prohibits the agency from reissuing of the rule in the same form after repeal. One additionally senator is needed to guarantee passage in the Senate.

Net neutrality is a critical issue for all businesses, not just tech companies. Net neutrality requires internet service providers (ISPs) to treat all web traffic equally, meaning they can’t charge users for access or priority. ASBC submitted official comments, signed by 500 businesses, to the FCC in support of the net neutrality rules. If you’re interested in taking action on this issue, please visit our action center.
