Green America

Green America is the national membership organization dedicated to harnessing economic power—the strength of consumers, investors, businesses, and the marketplace—to create a socially just and environmentally sustainable society.

Green America, which boasts 5,000 business and 120,000 individual members, was founded as Co-op America in 1982 and changed its name to Green America on January 1, 2009. Green America's Business Network is the oldest, largest, and most diverse network of socially and environmentally responsible businesses in America, representing product providers and services across 200 industry sectors including appliances, baby products, clothing, books, construction, socially responsible investing, food, health, media, travel, and water conservation. Green America mobilizes people in their economic roles—as consumers, investors, workers, and business leaders—and empowers them to take personal and collective action.

Green America works for a world where all people have enough, where all communities are healthy and safe, and where the bounty of the Earth is preserved for all the generations to come.
