The Rebuild America Act Offers Path to Sustainable Economy

The Rebuild America Act (S. 2252) puts us on a path toward a sustainable economy

The Rebuild America Act (S. 2252) introduced by Senator Tom Harkin provides an integrated framework for investment in infrastructure, education and clean energy.  It puts us on a path toward an economy that creates good paying jobs, strengthens education, increases competitiveness, fosters innovation, and invests in the future of America. The act will protect the  United States from falling behind in critical industries and economic activities, especially manufacturing, due to lack of public investment, infrastructure commitments, and focused tax credits – all strategies that most developed economies employ.  In addition, the Rebuild America Act corrects tax inequities that force small businesses and middle income families to carry an outsized burden, and it provides incentives for U.S. based companies to create jobs here at home.
